Twitter's absolutely broken and overly aggressive spam prevention measures have forced me to cut down on likes and retweets. Till the time this issue is fixed, I'll be doing less of liking and retweeting. However, know that I deeply appreciate every tweet from people I follow.

Please don't share such videos. They damage India's image. Instead, share videos of people praising PM Modi on Vande Bharat trains. There are plenty of those. Why highlight uncomfortable realities when positive PR clips are readily available?

Because nobody wants to attribute China’s success to its political system, that is communism. State control over capital. They think China is doing capitalism like the rest of the third world, but Chinese ppl have higher IQ or some other scientific racism bs.
PJ@PJ11819211

Everyone leftie econ guys are Chinamaxxing, but never giving instructions on poor countries can replicate China's success. Usually just vague gestures on cheap electrcity and EVs are going to be to the world, fair enough, but never concrete instructions on what to do.

Was lack of ‘valid’ prescription the reason behind cough syrup deaths? Even if ‘valid’ doc gives ‘valid’ prescription, how can that ensure cough syrup is not adulterated? Wasn’t pathetic drug regulation the cause of cough syrup deaths? Anyway, who is a valid doctor to prescribe?
Press Trust of India@PTI_News

Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issues notification which brings into effect that all 'Syrups', including cough syrups will no longer be available over the counter. A prescription by a doctor will be required for the purchase of 'Syrups'.

Matlab jinko paper milna tha unko mil chuka hai aur telegram ban bas mass leak ko rokne ke liye hua hai
Sanjay Maurya@MeSanjayy

NTA said the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) had directed a temporary restriction on access to Telegram in India until June 22, covering #NEET examination on June 21 and its immediate aftermath Telegram banned till June 22 hindustantimes.com/india-news/nta…

All this tells you is that NEET (or any centralised test in the name of entrance exams) in a poverty-ridden country like India with massive unemployment and lack of trust in institutions is a very, very bad idea.

Indian oligarchs: "What are Indian slaves going to do with AI? Home delivery is much more profitable. The top 5% can afford a Claude subscription anyway. The rest needs to deliver paneer and potatoes to earn the right to live. What else are they going to do? Revolt or something?"

What a change over mama...
K.Annamalai@annamalai_k

Two-tier CRPF+CISF escort with IAF airlift. 4-layer CCTV with AI surveillance. Biometric & facial recognition before entry. Multiple layers of frisking. Multi-level oversight with direct monitoring from the Prime Minister’s office. Yes, you read it right. But these are not arrangements to buy high-level, classified, military-grade software. These are the arrangements made by the Ministry of Education for the NEET retest scheduled for 21st June 2026. Every student would appreciate the government's efforts to prevent paper leaks by implementing additional security measures and enhanced monitoring. But an increase in scrutiny before entry, extended frisking, and an increase in the overall exam time from 180 minutes to 195 minutes will only add to their already ballooning exam pressure. While the government has taken measures to contain leaks, they have forgotten the additional burden they have imposed on a young student before they take up an assessment, one that they have spent months preparing for, dissolving the entire purpose of our exam system and the NEP 2020’s goal to reduce “Exam Stress”. Despite all these arrangements for the examination, there are issues with downloading the admit cards, and NTA has assured students that it will resolve them at the earliest. Yes, there are challenges that demand meaningful solutions. However, I am concerned that the approach devised for the NEET retest may not resolve the issue; instead, it risks creating a new set of problems.

It's almost as if conducting centralised countrywide standardised tests as college entrance exams, in a deeply unequal country like ours, was a terrible idea in the first place.
Sushant Singh@SushantSin

Good reporting from @MeSanjayy on how the students, who should be preparing for the re-test, are struggling with the NEET portal's mess of an admit card. How can such a simple thing be a failure when Modi is personally monitoring the process?

The only people who still harbour Quad delusions are either Indian elites with significant investments in the US or think tank hacks in DC. The ruling class in the US doesn't care about Quad and the Indian bourgeoisie has already found better routes to access neoliberal capital.
Asim Ali@AsimAli6

The biggest casualties on the American side of the Iran war have been its Gulf allies. Qatar & UAE havent been destroyed like Ukraine but have been set back many years. Should make India wary of any further moves of militarising Quad or being instrumentalised in containing China.

Everything boils down to what hurts Adani and what benefits him. This administration is shamelessly working for one entity and is willing to bend over backwards and twist foreign policy around it.

Clearly, Iran doesn’t know diplomacy. Araghchi should have simply said, “I am small economy and US is biggest economy. I can’t fight with the biggest economy”. Should have followed that with laser eyes memes with Sigma written across them. Amateurs !

@Yadofied By the way, apologies for not retweeting your tweets. I'm having to be very economical with my likes and retweets because of the repeated flagging. You should take note of this too and backup whatever bookmarks/lists you have here. Create a backup account if you haven't already.

@Yadofied Also, a huge number of Indians die at home (read this as undetected diseases). Data on anything related to Indian healthcare must be taken with a huge grain of salt because of massive disparities in access & affordability of healthcare across the country (& across income groups).

point taken but japan (& korea/china to a slightly lesser degree) have always been outliers when it comes to ca stomach incidence. [the rates have fallen dramatically in recent decades d/t excellent public health interventions, incl food safety measures]
Krish Ashok@krishashok

India is not perfect and given the scale, bad events will happen, but If Indian food were the poison these videos claim, you'd see it in the bodies. Instead India's gastric cancer rate is among Asia's lowest, below Japan, Korea, and China. Under-five mortality halved between 2000 and 2017. Waterborne diseases are going down.
