The Federal Court of Appeal’s decision last week to uphold the lower court’s ruling that the use of the Emergencies Act was illegal. It confirms what I said during the debate back in 2022. The Liberals’ invocation of the Emergencies Act was nothing more than a power grab by Trudeau and his Liberals. When this Liberal government divides people and violates their freedoms of thought, belief, opinion and expression, it loses. A Conservative Government will ensure the Emergencies Act can never be used again to silence political opposition.
