Since I'm not coming out with a video for Behemoth today I thought I would share my thoughts quickly. I've played about two hours so far and taken down one of four Behemoth. While the game does look pretty great on Quest 3 especially some of the landscape views, in my opinion it suffers from a lot of QA issues and bugs. Everything from massive pop in some spots, to the physics breaking and your hand spinning in circles or an enemy flying into and getting stuck in a wall. They happen pretty often too. The Behemoth battles are epic in scale for sure, but even just with first behemoth I had to die and replay it 6 or 7 times and I was getting frustrated based mostly on climbing not working correctly and me falling to my death or the behemoth stomping and killing me even when I wasn't under his foot among other things. For me the combat doesn't feel great. It feels ok. The physics of blocking and parrying when they work feel pretty good but I just found my self pounding on the enemies and then backing off so my stamina meter refilled to go again or using the rage ability to just decimate them quickly. The story does seem pretty cool but also kind of feels disconnected. I can't explain exactly why but I just feel uninterested overall in the story and I am a sucker for story based games. I had such high expectations for this game and was so excited and I still plan to finish it and hopefully give more thoughts, but coming away from the first 1/4+ of the game has me underwhelmed sadly.
