I think Marathon is going to do just fine. It won't match ARC Raiders, and it isn't really casual friendly... But it doesn't have to be. There are going to be a lot of people who love this game. Enough so all the dip shits obsessing over steam charts are going to have to move the goal posts into the next state at launch. For me? My biggest worry is I won't be able to play it cause I'm not good enough. It has become very clear to me over the last few days the skill gap in this game's PvP will be HUGE. I think the best players in this game will be untouchable by 90% of the rest of the player base.
