Exceeding this time will result in loss of possession. ▪️Medical attention off the field: A player receiving medical attention on the field must leave and wait one minute before returning, unless the injury was caused by a foul sanctioned with a card. ▪️VAR expansion: VAR will be able to review second yellow cards that lead to a red, as well as incorrectly awarded corner kicks. ▪️Captain and referees: The rule is reinforced that only the captain may approach the referee to request explanations; the rest of the players may be sanctioned with a yellow card if they surround the official.
