What a great time we've had at @LadywoodKH over the past few weeks. We've embraced the festive season with Reception and made some reindeer food with a special story to go with it. At our final session today we had campfire cinnamon apples with custard 😋 @embarkfed

Creating a mud kitchen at @LadywoodKH using a selection of autumn resources found around Rices Retreat. Lovely to see reception learners using apples to roll down guttering in child led exploration @embarkfed

Update on our Tipi with @LadywoodKH Y6 learners. We have our last session next week, 🤞we manage to complete it so they can appreciate all of their hard work before they move to senior school. This is 4 weeks x 40 mins of work, learning new skills @embarkfed

@LadywoodKH @embarkfed Y6 learners should be proud of themselves on their project work in forest school. They have shown resilience, team building, problem solving & communication skills as well as maths and woodworking skills. Great listening and following h&s instructions 👏

We had a great breakfast with Santa session this weekend 🎅🎄❤️

This week at @LadywoodKH we made Christmas decorations out of wood cookies, all cut from locally sourced dead wood. We still haven't seen the badger on the wildlife cam, but we have had a fair bit of wildlife activity in Rice's Retreat. @embarkfed

What better way than a 'frozen' session to introduce the children to the upcoming winter season and open conversation about the recent snow we've had ❄️

It was a fabulous day at Wild Bears today. We don't get many opportunities to play and learn in the snow, but today was the day. We built snowmen, painted snow with food colouring, made snow cup castles, and, of course, have sledge rides, finished with a hot chocolate warmer❄️⛄️

What a lovely session of snow play. It wasn't planned for, but we welcomed it and managed a great setup for the children. #snowday #resiliencebuilding #snowplay #resilience

Today at @LadywoodKH we set up an extra play station, thanks to Pumpkin donations from Kirk Hallam Community Centre. The children love hammering golf T's. It helps develop hand muscles, fine motor skills, and improve dexterity, which helps with writing competency. @embarkfed

Today at @LadywoodKH, I decided to go in early to check the site following half term. I moved the mud kitched to give it a greater invitation to play impact. We've been noticing signs of a badger, and I think I've found a set. Lots of wet,rotting wood means fungi. @embarkfed

We recently had a visit from our local MP @adamthompson111 at our Halloween Woodland special to show what we offer local families that have a benefit on physical and mental well-being, and to discuss the future vision for our little community group. Thank you for your time Adam

We had such a special time at our spooky halloween woodland event on Sunday. It was lovely to see some of our friends from the @LadywoodKH family & @DallimoreSchool, bringing our community together @embarkfed

The evolution of our pumpkin graveyard! Thanks to @aldiuk Aldi UK for their donation of spoilt pumpkins. Instead of going to landfill, they entertained the children who visited our nonprofit halloween event, and we'll go on to salvage seeds to grow our own pumpkins next year 🤞
