Love this email just sent by @nwas - the people running this org deeply care about the members. It’s a tough week to be in the weather enterprise.

WOW - measured wind gusts are now up to:
55 mph in Decatur
66 mph in Shelbyville and in Mattoon
Hannah Strong@WxStrong
Wind gust up to 49 mph in Champaign 👀

FWIW peak wind gusts are 25-43 mph already across the highlighted area in the image below. Gusts are still getting stronger, but should stabilize at their peak in the next few hours. Be cautious tonight; tomorrow won't be quite as windy.

This High Wind Warning (orange) goes from 5-10 PM today because wind gusts up to 60 MPH will be possible in these spots. The Wind Advisory (tan) is for wind gusts up to 55 mph through 1 AM @wandtvnews Remember the word WARNING means threatening weather is happening or (1/2)
English

(2/2) is imminent. WARNING should make you think about changing your behavior. Today that might mean two hands on the steering wheel and being extra cautious when passing big trucks that will catch more wind than your vehicle does. #HighWindWarning
