When it’s you being singled out and you see your families and friends being taken away all you want is justice and equality. You want help. You want to complain and rightfully so. Yet help doesn’t come. Nobody shows any sympathy towards your community. You’re told you should have followed the law. Your life is torn apart and everything is harder. Everyone else ignores your struggle and refuses to help your community. You implore your leaders to help and they don’t do anything. Any demonstration is met by a law enforcement agency who doesn’t place value on your life and has a million excuses for mistreating you. Some people are just flat out racist and make jokes at your expense and laugh at your predicament. Black people have been telling other minorities for decades. For us we’ve seen this before many times. We’ve had to get over it. Told we don’t have it bad because at least we aren’t slaves. Told “Go back to Africa” by the descendants of the thieves who stole enslaved raped and pillaged our land then did the same in America to the indigenous population and a chunk of Mexico. They steal your culture and will eat your food dance to your music exploit your country steal the resources and lie to you with a smile.
