“Christ” is another way of saying Krsta, and Krsta is another way of pronouncing Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण), the name of God. Krsta (कृष्ट) is a Sanskrit word meaning “the object of attraction.” And Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण) means “All-attractive” (सर्वाकर्षक). So when we address God as “Christ,” “Krsta,” or “Kṛṣṇa,” we indicate the same all-attractive Supreme Personality of Godhead — Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa. Jesus represented himself as the putraḥ (पुत्रः) — the son of God — not God Himself. Christ is the Father (पिता) used as the surname. And that Father, that Christ, is none other than Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa (भगवान् श्री कृष्ण), the same sarvākṛṣṇa (सर्वाकृष्ण) reality: the infinitely attractive Absolute Truth.
