Why we benchmark against Aave, not a fixed rate. When rates compress, 4.5% might be outperforming. When rates expand, 6% might be underperforming. Static benchmarks miss market context. Dynamic benchmarks. Context-aware scoring. That should be the standard.

Why we don't use Sortino ratio for vault scoring. For well-curated DeFi vaults, it breaks — near-zero downside deviation pushes Sortino toward infinity. Meaningless rankings. We built a 4-metric framework with dynamic Aave benchmarks instead.

APY is the wrong metric to lead with. A vault showing 18% APY tells you nothing about: - Smart contract risk - Historical volatility - TVL stability - Team credibility We score vaults across 4 dimensions: Risk, Performance, Trust, Capital. APY is one input, not the headline.
