It costs *a lot* to attend a public university in our state – more than in other states around us — and it’s deterring students from earning a degree in Illinois and staying to contribute to our state’s vibrancy. But it doesn’t have to be that way. We’re grateful to have heard the experiences of Illinois college students at a senate hearing this spring on the need for adequate and equitable state funding for all Illinois’ public 4-years.
