What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie?

@Favwontmiss Mine is similar but musty towels. Imagine thinking you’re clean and being clean, then drying yourself off with a towel that smells musty and moldy but you can’t tell because you’ve been doing that for years. And everyone can smell you but won’t tell you. That’s literal hell.

@GooglyGorilla @MitchStockton @luisjgomez I'm pointing out his false dichotomy, not stating one myself. I would define physical discipline as the infliction of physical pain or physical discomfort in order to discourage behavior. Obviously there are levels to it.

@ZacksWorld @MitchStockton @luisjgomez False dichotomy. People assume hitting your kid is a haymaker. Define physical discipline? Is spanking, an arm pinch, or flick to the ear considered a beating? Bro if my kid is warned to stay on the sidewalk multiple times and doesn't he's getting disciplined every time.

This is retarded. Hitting your kids makes them more likely to be aggressive and more likely to have trouble in school and with the law. Every gang member and person in prison for violence experienced violence in their home. Kids who are raised peacefully are typically from good homes with parents who think about these things.
💯EZ-PZ💯@titostittys

@luisjgomez @topvideos___ Or ya know Luis it will let him know that there are real life consequences to your actions. The kid maybe would steal or do some gang shit now he will think twice about it

@thejustinwelsh I treat everyone I meet as if I've already known them for years. Amazing hack for socializing. As it turns out, all it takes for someone to become your friend is for you to treat them like your friend.

@baas_joris @joeroganhq I don't know when or how the vaccine is best administered, I just know that a baby can catch Hep B from the mother during childbirth - even if the mother has only a latent infection.

I think Instagram's only imminent threat, if we had to pick one, is regulation via age-gating it. Instagram isn't for "photography' anymore, hasn't been for a long, long time, and so an incredible image model probably isn't threatening because users don't really care about the images and videos themselves, they care about the people who post the media and what they're communicating through it. AI is actually detrimental to the cause in that sense, because people perceive it as inherently inauthentic and Instagram already has an authenticity problem as indicated by more and more people wake up to how fake people's online personas actually are. Put a little differently, if the images themselves were the core feature of Instagram, your post would effectively render down to "the biggest threat to a thing is a better version of that thing" – an empty truthism.

@DominikFacist @luisjgomez If hitting your child wasn't harmful it wouldn't work. The entire premise of disciplining your kid by hitting them is that you are harming them to teach them a lesson. If you need to read a study to determine whether or not you should beat your kids, you're a lost cause.

@luisjgomez Luis you probably randomly read one study on this 10 years ago and took it as gospel lol there’s many studies that say hitting your child isn’t harmful

No. I’m stating *the fact* that if you spank your children they are more likely to be aggressive and to show anti social behavior. I didn’t make this up. Obviously there is an infinite amount of other things that could contribute to behaviors like this. You are a dumb fuck who is advocating the abuse of children.
Peppered Pirate@Professor_Rev

@luisjgomez Your claim is that spanking causes violent people. I’m saying well not exactly. If coupled with other factors sure. It’s extremely nuanced.

@jol420 @MasterC2222 @Dexerto I don't know if you're referring to my comment, but I didn't know if his ethnicity or skin color was mentioned in the book, so I asked (sincerely). I asked here instead of Google so that it becomes part of the discussion. Nothing disengenous on my part 🤷

@ZacksWorld @MasterC2222 @Dexerto What are we doing here why r people fighting back against it so hard because a black actor was picked. It's a race swap.. but they're going far enough to say he was never white to begin with that feels disengenous

@MitchStockton @luisjgomez You act like you meant this all along despite your tweet implying the choices were either hitting your kid or doing nothing. It's okay to just stop responding when you run out of points; no one will spank you here, be not afraid.

@MitchStockton @luisjgomez There's a lot of shit we did for thousands of years that we now find wrong... And again, you're relying on this false dichotomy that there is only: 1. Hitting your kid 2. Doing nothing / "wagging your finger" There are better ways to do it.

@ZacksWorld @luisjgomez And you really think there’s just punching and beating your kids to a pulp? A slap, a spank and a good talking to straightens out more kids than wagging your finger. Up until 40 years ago, that’s how it was done for thousands of years.

Angry guy yelling at clouds
So you mean to tell me HBO put an actor’s life at risk because they had to make a white character black for no reason other than a diversity quota, and now they need to pay for security for him? Damn, if only there was some way we could’ve avoided this entire situation. Maybe they could’ve just had a lore-accurate Snape.

@MitchStockton @luisjgomez Do you really think the only choices for parenthood are hitting your kids or doing nothing? Hitting your kids to discipline them is bad parenting, and it's for parents who don't know how to do their job any better than to be an animal about it.

@luisjgomez If you beat your kids with no control or reasoning and just emotional outbursts then yea… it fucks them up. If it’s controlled, explained punishment and helping show consequences, it just works. Doing nothing and letting demons run free makes society exponentially worse.
