It's all a moot pt. KOC can't develop a QB and hasn't to this point in his career. All have regressed under him. Cousins spoke openly how challenging KOC's scheme was to learn, took him a 1/2 season. Now we expect a non-studious QB, off the coach QB & a lost young QB to compete?

Carson Wentz's last two seasons: 2023 -- QB2 for Matthew Stafford (Nov-Jan) 2024 -- QB2 for Patrick Mahomes 2025 -- QB2 turned starter for 5 games in MN. Threw for 300+ twice. Posted a slightly below average passer rating. You think he's signing as QB3 on March 19? 🤔 Nah. Wentz was almost certainly told he's QB2 over JJ McCarthy. Otherwise, he would have surveyed the QB landscape until summer like he did last year. McCarthy is almost certainly QB3 now.

Vikings were the only team to play 5 preseason games, 3 before the season started and the Commanders and Giants in December

Commanders = Putrid defense and fired their DC Dallas = Putrid defense and fired their DC New York = Putrid defense and fired their DC Lions = McCarthy did not play due to injury Green Bay = Rested all starters and key backups Hand him the keys to the franchise though... 🤣

I thought McCarthy would have played more than 10 games in 2 years. I also thought his floor would be higher. I was skeptical about giving Darnold $30m/yr, but acknowledged it’s solid QB $ value. I also thought KOC was more adaptable. I was wrong on much of these. Hopefully my seat isn’t too hot on Purple Daily 🥵

JJ McCarthy's unwillingness to change/grow is his biggest flaw. Today he showed us wildly inaccurate passes, missing open WRs, no touch on passes, immature decisions hurting the offense, risking his body in a meaningless game. He won't be the starter next year. #skol #vikings
