@MissMommyMaya Absolutely, Which is why I generally refrain from supporting any community as a whole, because that encompasses both the very best and the very worst. Personally, I'd only be a supporter of individuals and ideas, keeping far away from group identity politics and the like.

@ZippDerg or amplified the same way the negative examples do. People tend to notice the worst cases and assume they represent everyone. Accountability matters, but so does recognizing that fringe behavior isn’t the norm. Both things can be true at once.

Anyone, in any space, who harms children or engages with exploitative material is doing something profoundly wrong. That behavior must be condemned clearly and consistently. There is no overlap, no excuse, and no protection for it, and those responsible should be held accountable
