I figured given the messages and outreach I’ve been receiving, I should give some clarity on the CFB Service for 2026 (or lack thereof). The CFB Service will be taking the 2026 Season off, with no exact plans for the future. Could be a pause or a retirement, who knows. My goal all along was to deliver alpha and do things the right way. Results (and CLV!!!) would say over the life of the service, we achieved that. There was probably 10 years of my CFB betting career I was told I should start a service, or other ones tried to fold me into theirs. I had many reasons I didn’t do it. I finally realized/came to belief (and still believe, although more unsure) that 99% of casual sports bettors have a better chance of ending the season positive with my service than they do betting on their own. That said, if I’m being honest with myself and you all, I think I personally need to go back to the drawing board. To have a service, whether you can beat the close is one thing (this is NOT a CLV post), but ultimately you need to win and do so on sides and totals in mature markets ideally with high limits - it’s very, very hard. The one rule I told myself was to do things the right way, be honest and transparent and try and deliver value. I hope many enjoyed the ride and some of the great moments along the way. I’ve been around the handicapping of CFB and Gambling Twitter for over 15 years now, and have seen many come and go. I’ve seen people I respect go the wrong way, and seen people I thought were idiots turn into incredible sports bettors. I always knew an end or a pause to the service may happen. I truly took it year by year, and I always hoped if I shut it down, it was on my terms. Not a public assassination from @FerrisB_86 , @MikeVivian ,@robpizzola or fml @JoeyKnish22 , brought on by something stupid I did or by miserable performance. I think at this point, I’ve mostly achieved that. Times change, situations change, and markets are certainly evolving. We’re a long ways away from the days of forum posting long write-ups on plays, but I am ever-more and constantly intrigued by the continual puzzle that betting CFB brings. I will 100% still be betting CFB (probably much more) and I’m generally excited to be one of you all, on your side, working to be walking away from the cage with cash every Saturday. I’ll probably share more here, be in some discords, and post my plays somewhere (likely betstamp which I don’t thave yet). Don’t be strangers! I truly love the game of CFB and breaking it down with all of you. That’s how I learned to handicap and be successful, and how I continue to learn and see things I maybe missed. Welp - it was a heck of a season. Cant have this terrible of 1Q but they were always gonna be up against it vs hawks without giving up KO return, fumble, and taking ball out of Purdy’s hands on a fourth down with a full back option (LOL) against an incredibly fast team.
