Well, officially my laptop is dead and I don't plan on waiting that long to get another motherboard; I'll have to buy another PC. This is simply awful

My laptop just burned a circuit on the motherboard and now it won't start. I just took it to a repair shop and I hope the damage isn't too severe and I don't have to buy a new motherboard. What a great way to start the year! :)
