Naoya VS Choso also stood out, especially the monochrome sequence. Wish Megumi's domain looked somewhat like this.

Both of Shoutarou Ban's scenes had some of my favorite bits of processing for the season, complementing his unique designs really well.

@zkyyev @TheJohnSchafer That's the best comparison, yeah. But on average a movie's chief director will have more time to supervise the individual units.

@TheJohnSchafer Approved by whom? The episode has 7 episode directors lol. It's 7 episodes in one, and it looks like it. There's only so much a chief director can do about this, especially when they're focused on making storyboards for the whole cour.

一回だけですよのところもTP修正で顔と手、あと線質をアナログに寄せるためにデジタルの線にアナログのスキャンぽい荒い粒を手でつけて毛羽立たせる修正をした。 他の方が描いてくださった服と髪なびきがある素材なので載せられないけど気に入ってるから言いたくなった。 粘らせてくれてありがとうございました。

呪術は皆すごいし、会社もすごいんだけど、やっぱゴッソ君が凄いよなぁ。仕事量もだけど2期とか半分以上ゴッソ君が演出さん連れてきてる気がするし、ゴッソ君がやろう！って言ってくると取り敢えずやってみるかぁって気持ちになる太陽みたいなパッションの持ち主だから…皆やるっての大きい気がする

@StartBySavingM3 JJK is, well, simply insane. I vividly recall being blown away by Tanaka's 1x13 back when it aired and sinking one level deeper into loving animation. Now that episode might not even be in my top 10 for the show. This is not once in a generation, it's a once in forever project.

@StartBySavingM3 Of the three you mentioned, 2x16 is still the best, but I just have a special place in my heart for 2x17. But out of all the episodes of JJK, 2x05 is still my no.1, followed by 3x08 and 2x16+17.

My jaw hurts from smiling for half an hour straight. How the team put this together is beyond me. The greatest feat of action animation in one episode I've seen since Castlevania 4x09, and one of the best of all time.

I'm off to watch the episode many more times. What a time to be alive.
