The fact that people think this is a good critique of FTL scaling is pretty telling.

@cronusva @Spider2pointO I agree that there are less light speed characters than what people scale them to, because people do wank characters stats, but travel speed is a cogent argument and some authors do think about it. However what the author thinks is a little useless.

@_MinuteMan_ @Spider2pointO I mean it is 90% of character categorize as ftl cannot move this fast it’s the same thing when I ask, why can’t an immerusable speed character run of water they say combat=/travel speed when immerusable speed shouldn’t matter. Writers don’t think like this difference between++

@StormOneActual @PoisonFT He’s saying that because those statements appear in tandem with what is quoted. They are just poor critiques of FTL scaling that often appear in tandem.
