I think the new app was made by GOK chaps with a backdoor to view EVERY transaction.

The most common (and annoying) flow of LipaNaMpesa process is some waiter / clerk will ask to see the Mpesa code. Why on earth is the thing in such a tiny font? “Please can you hold the phone closer / sioni hiyo code” is something I’ve heard 3 of the 3 times I’ve paid with it. I don’t see how this would have not been flagged if actual users (and not just well meaning QA guys with the best of intentions) had been involved
