@david_m_stone `no_alloc_push_back()` would seem to fit rather well.

Imagine a function that acts like `push_back`, but requires that the container has sufficient capacity already. What should this function be called? `unsafe_push_back` seems like a bad name -- I'd rather name a function after what it does, not what it doesn't do.

@bruces The difference is motivation. If only all of the draftees were all as unhappy to be there as some of them are. Unfortunately at least some of them really believe they're defending the Fatherland from Nazism. And those ones won't be useless.

@bruces FWIW Ukrainians say that Lugansk was the work of some local criminals and not them. I don't know if the (ex)prosecutor really appreciates the difference, however.

@bruces In addition to what the other replies said, motivation does play a role too. The vast majority of the Russian soldiers in Ukraine doesn't really want to fight.

@bruces Generally, you should exercise caution about realistic news coming from Russia, but if something is way too insane to be true, it almost certainly is. Full disclosure: I believe the story about Prigozhin, it sounds sufficiently crazy to me.
