🚨 pls read. The way EA has treated special teams is a real problem for me.
Very thoughtless. Low skill. just a "kick and forget" cutscene to quickly tap through. Sure, something funny and unexpected might happen but even when it does it tends to feel dumb, random, and detached from any sort of logic/skill/decisions/variables.
Yeah, we need better mechanics, more formations, and stuff like rugby punts, better return schemes, etc etc. + a CPU that will actually make clever decisions based on situation and philosophy.
Some of the most dramatic and game-breaking moments in a game happen on special teams. It should feel more like a real chess match with actual risk and reward.
I suspect they simplify it to protect online-comp play, but because of this, offline simulation players are left with something way too shallow.

I know it's probably too late, but a rugby punt option in CFB 27 would be a small but great move for risk-reward Reward: Kicking away from great return men and options to bail and fake it. Risk: Tougher meter and a higher chance for shank. Higher risk for a block punt.

I tweet for me boo 😭 Twitter for the OGs was basically a diary. We wasn’t sitting around chasing engagement . You just had a thought, tweeted it, and kept scrolling. If somebody saw it, cool. If they didn’t, oh well 😂 Twitter originally wasn’t even about likes like that. It was just people broadcasting their random ass thoughts into the universe.
