@_baseballdreams I’m all for kids learning different positions, but if you know without a doubt that kid will never project there, and you put him there anyhow just to fill out a travel ball roster, that’s 💩, and that’s going to hurt the kids development

@_baseballdreams A kid playing a position like SS in travel ball is a bit different than what I’m referring to. Those kids translate in a bunch of spots. If you know a kid isn’t gonna be a C, do you waste his reps needed elsewhere to play there?

Had three freshman travel ball SS come to my high school 1st fall practice last year. All three made the varsity, One at 2B, one at 3B and one in LF. Kids need to be versatile and able to play all positions. It's a disservice to the players to pigeon hole them at 14. My 2 cents.

Why some 13/14U travel programs put kids in positions they’ll never project in for HS ⚾️ or beyond is stupid. They’re not just place fillers, it’s not about you coaches, it’s about the kids. Some programs need help figuring that out. Square peg/round hole/FITFO

To listen to the group that stood on top of the mountain for 2 years screaming defund the police/disrespect the police...now screaming fund the police for votes before the midterms is comical. The damage has been done in the cities that took the defund bait.

I like this site for its baseball insite. Travel ball isn't the best thing for our kids b/c to many organizations making money and teaching very little. Maybe a few less would be better. Ever think of that? Can someone explain to me how a H S players playing 150+ games is good?
