hi heres ur reminder to stop idolizing people you don’t actually know, especially creators! nobody is perfect ofc, but it doesn’t mean we should be participating in blind adoration! practice admiration without idolization

I finish my 6-month term on the inaugural Roblox Community Safety Council. I was one of 20 members. Here are my thoughts: I went in with questions & concerns, especially as I own & operate @Roblox_RTC. I knew the community's frustration, grievances, and mistrust. The only thing I can say, and keep in mind, this is my view from interacting with them, in regards to safety: @Roblox does listen and care. Every conversation I had showed their value for realistic solutions. Every issue anybody had was met with conversation from councilmember and staff alike. Roblox recently stated that "no system is perfect", I agree. Everybody there had appraisals and criticisms for current or future systems, but the thing I appreciated was: we all came from perspective, as creators, players, and developers. This led to genuinely informed and pragmatic conversations, focusing on how to be proactive instead of reactive; Additionally, we all wanted one thing, Roblox to be safer. I believe this council has contributed to that goal. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity, I am honored to have served with the councilmembers I did, and lastly, privileged to see firsthand how Roblox Staff think about safety. I understand this post style is not usual for me; however, this is a genuine reflection on my part. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I'll try to answer as best as I can :p shoutout to molegul (blender) and trelakor (figma) to make this image. first time seriously trying this

Today, I concluded my term on Roblox’s Community Safety Council, where I had the opportunity to collaborate with Roblox administrators and developers to help improve platform safety and contribute new ideas. I’m proud to have been selected as one of just 20 members in Roblox’s first council. I’m truly grateful to Roblox for this experience. It’s been clear throughout that they deeply care about their community, actively listen to feedback, and are committed to making the platform the best it can be for everyone. Thank you so much @Roblox, the DevRel team, Eliza, Matt and @DavidBaszucki for this incredible opportunity!

I just finished my 6-month term on the Roblox Community Safety Council, and I wanted to share a quick thought on it: Going into it, I had my own questions and concerns. After being part of those conversations, I can honestly say that Roblox does listen, and the people involved do care about making the platform safer. No system is perfect, and there were definitely tough discussions, but I appreciated how much the focus stayed on realistic solutions and making things better. Whether or not you agree with recent Roblox changes, I can say with confidence Roblox does put thought into any changes before they are released to the public, and they do take safety first even if you don't believe it. I’m really grateful I got to be part of it and serve alongside the other council members. If you have questions, feel free to ask and I’ll answer what I can #Roblox

🫡 It was a great experience participating as inaugural members of Roblox's Community Safety Council. I know Roblox gets a lot of flak but they took our feedback seriously and I really feel they are listening and working to find the right solutions.

Roblox will be covering the cost of Roblox Plus for existing creators for the next 6 months. To be eligible, at least one game you own must have 100 hours of total playtime over the last 30 days (as of today, 4/13) and you must not have any major violations of the Community Standards. For group owned games that meet the criteria, the 6 months is granted to the group owner.
