@whitepeakwell I miss academia too! (never thought I would say that) I wish I’d pushed to carry on gender studies in the outdoors instead of listening to lecturers who said it wasn’t worth it

My biggest regret leaving academia is that I still want to research, and outside of the academy it's so damn hard. Where can independent research-qualified folk go for grants? I have ideas I want to investigate.
