The umpire thought the catcher wanted to challenge the call when he asked if it was a strike. Umpire announced a challenge and canceled it on the mic immediately afterwards while saying “crowd is too loud.” Chicago is a baseball city.

Campus bars can serve alcohol tomorrow, but can’t serve anything in a glass container. Liquor stores on campus won’t be allowed to serve alcohol after 6 pm.

The City of Champaign is enacting an emergency order restricting the sale of alcohol on the U of I’s campus ahead of tomorrow’s Elite Eight matchup against Iowa. The mayor says it’s, “…to reduce the possibility of public safety hazards…” Hear about it tonight at 5 on WCIA 3.

Love this from #Illini head coach Brad Underwood - asked if he has any issue/finds it unfair to have to play Houston IN Houston in the Sweet 16. "I could care less... I'm an old JUCO ball coach. I drove on 16 passenger fans. I drove from Dodge City, Kansas to Mesa, Arizona for a basketball game... If you had told me back then that I'm getting to coach basketball in the Sweet 16 and play Houston - I would sign up for it, I would crawl to get there." I’ll have a lot to say about Terry Boers the next time I’m on @thescorechicago. He meant so much to so many people and it’s an amazing legacy that people can’t help but smile when they think of you. I highly recommend a YouTube search of his name. Just nonstop laughs.
