Superteams are not developed or built from within. They are a gathering of "super" players coming together to conquer the league. Not coming together to compete. Coming together to conquer, as in "not 5, not 6, not 7," but EIGHT championships. The only Lakers superteam was the 2004 Kobe, Shaq, Mailman, Glove Lakers. The 80s Lakers were not a superteam. Kareem and Silk came there before the 80s and Magic, Worthy, Byron & others were all DRAFTED. So FOH with that nonsense. The 96-98 Bulls WERE NOT A SUPERTEAM, you dumb revisionist cappin mfs. That was a developed dynasty. MJ, Scottie, Kucok were all DRAFTED. Harp was added the year MJ stepped away.. Kukoc never played a game for them until MJ stepped away.. Rodman was an outcast that nobody wanted, deemed a cancer by Greg Popovich, and the Bulls needed a rebounding defender. Many pundits thought Rodman to the Bulls would fail and they had just gotten rinsed off by the Magic, whom some passed the proverbial torch to as the dominant team in the East and future champions. When they came together in Miami, Wade and Bron were 2 of the top 3 players in the league and Bosh was a top-10 player. They were 1, 2, and 4 in PER the season before. LeBron felt so strong about them that before they had a single practice together, he predicted they would win 8 championships, and then double and tripled down on his claim right there in front of 20,000 fans and Pat Riley in the crowd. They were the odds on favorite to win the chip and win 65 games. ESPN was so on their nuts that they made a separate page just for the Heat and put a 73-win tracker on it 😂 Yet, we have to deal with idiots who try and claim the Heat were not a superteam while labeling the aforementioned teams as superteams. Get the entire f...ck outta my face with this nonsense. LeBron is the face of the superteam era, is the only superstar in league history that AS REIGNING MVP, quit a 60-win team after failing monumentally, to run and join a superteam to chase championships via the perceived much easier path. COWARD. This is why he'll never get the respect and validation that he seeks and will never receive the reverence given to greater competitors.
