Theres this weird idea that leftist controlled nations are purely Anti-imperial/colonial, when this is historically inaccurate. The Soviet Union, Post-Mao China, and the Khmer Rouge all partook in colonialism. China still does it with Tibet and the persecution of the Uyghur.
