My father passed away last night from a massive heart attack. I am devastated and filled with grief and sadness. He taught me to always be there for people and never let me down. He was my best friend and I will miss him dearly! RIP dad

I don't get the hate and hostility towards Anders Lee. I want him back, but even if you don't, be gracious about it. The guy has been an absolute warrior for the team, fourth all time in team history in goals and fourth in points this year, and a true gem of a human being.

UBS Arena has been waiting for a game like this. Basically a playoff game with a brand new coach. The stage is set, but can the fans replicate Nassau Coliseum ? I’ve yet to see it. Rock the place and beat OTT! #isles

No reason not to add player(s) from AHL Thursday: Leafs, who play night before Saturday: Senators Sunday: Habs, also on a back-to-back Tuesday: Canes, who play night before and may rest guys 4 home games. Win them all. Try to earn it. Show something. Salvage a glorious season turned nightmare after a trio of “veteran” “leadership” “grit” “playoff-style” additions. Jobs are on the line, but now’s not the time to say “X must go.” Despite the collapse, they are in third place in the division. You’ll know in ten days if anyone’s going to get fired. Again, 4 home games. A pokecheck shouldn’t be necessary.

It’s truly shocking to me how fans perceive an 82 game season. It’s a microcosm of life. There will be ups and there will be lots of heavy adversity. What matters is where you finish and this Islanders team will finish in a playoff spot. #isles
