India's Economy will grow from $3.5 trillion to $7.3 trillion by 2030 (India's CEA) I agree with these estimates. I believe that 80% of this growth will happen due to inflation (price increase). And, rest 20% will be real growth. Now, the problem is that people who don't invest will not benefit from inflation. How inflation benefits in investing? simple: let's say HUL sells 100 units of shampoo@100Rs. If the inflation is high (and if HUL has pricing power), it can sell that same bottle of shampoo at 150Rs. - Inflation leads to price rise of products. - Firms post better revenues/profits. - Investors benefit. Who does not benefit? people who don't invest. Or lose all their profits due to frequent trading.
