@GigiDuarte_7 @KatryaLy Hi Gigi, I liked how you used the photo in your response to give a better perspective. I agree that professors shouldn’t treat any student less because of their performance or because they do a sport. @KatryaLy #ucr50

This painted narrative of “dumb jock” is old. Athletes already have a biased stigma because they’re undermined by academic performance from professors. Professors shouldn’t treat a student any less, the issue should be pressed with coaches/dean, not students. #UCR50

Why should students athletes need “branding,” it’s bad enough that students athletes get looked down on just because their a “jock.” They need the extra support from everyone because it can all take a mental toll on them especially if you add “branding.” #ucr50 @KatryaLy

@izyyybel01 @TA_ED50 I do believe that their mental health can sometimes be overlooked. They can sometimes not be properly care for and I do think that they are most stressful with finals and big games and that can be harmful sometimes to one’s mindset/mental health. @KatryaLy #UCR50

Athletes balancing their academics, social life and athletics can be stressful. It can lead to mental health. All the pressure they have usually leads to low performance in their academics. Are athletes mental health overlooked? #UCR50 @TA_ED50

i believe that athletes should be making some type of salary, it is so much on their mental health to be focusing on academics and sports as well as their own personal things they have going on. Some sort of salary/incentive would be nice for college athletes. @ucr50 @KatryaLy

College professors deserve better pay over college coaches. Professors do so much for the students/student athletes, they prepare them for their future careers, coaches set up players who sometimes don’t make it all the way so why should their pay be better? #ucr50 @KatryaLy

Students put a lot on the line for their sport, sometimes all the coach cares about is success at the sport and not so much academics. What can we do to ensure academics is priority over the sport? @KatryaLy #ucr50
