Marc Leishman played the stableford at his home course Warrnambol and shot 11 under off +5 for 42 points and still only came second in the comp. Imagine shooting 61 and not winning. There’s bandits everywhere! 😂

Worst Australian Open I have ever watched. Happy For Marc Leishman, Curtis Luck n co. But, Sad for Australian golf that Golf Australia are so incompetent at organising our national open. The Australian Open was terrible when Langadere sports ran it (outsourced) for Golf Australia....but now that GA are organising it, God help us. Please let the Australian PGA run this championship. Golf Australia are killing it. Every year it gets worse and worse. There are so many golf fans who are sad about it. I feel sorry for the 800+ volunteers and all the golf fans who put in so much effort to make this a worthy championship, only to be ruined by terrible tv coverage, absurd format, pedestrian commentary and a complete lack of cohesion and focus. Yes, it was that bad. It has been getting worse and worse (every year) for 20+ years. This year was UN WATCH ABLE I am a diehard golf fan and lover of the Australian Open and I could not watch it. For the brief moments I did try and tune in I was gobsmacked by how bad the tv coverage was, the lack of stats, history, player background, player profiles, course stats, yardages and the very basics we expect as golf fans. No shot tracer, no greens readings, no insight. Golf Australia : Please have the hard conversations internally and cease trying to be a professional tournament organiser. You are not. Golf Australia are very good at their core business, but running a professional golf championship is NOT one of them. @GolfAust @PGAofAustralia How you can run the Australian Open and not mention Gary Player's 7 wins, Jack Nicklaus's 6 and show at least 5 minutes of archival footage of the great victories is just bewildering. To not lean on the 1904 starting date and the great names on the men's trophy is either incompetent or highly disrespectful. The best thing Golf Australia could do to 'grow the game' here in Australia is to cease trying to organise, run and nurture the Australian Open. Let the professionals do it. Let the Australian PGA have our national open. A sad sad day for Australian golf.

Whoever is responsible for the coverage of the Aus Golf Open should be sacked. We have numerous players within a shot of winning it on the men’s side and we barely getting any coverage. Ridiculous #AusOpenGolf

I’ll never understand the relay teams at the Olympics and how bad there exchanges are between runs. When I was a sprint king we were always taught to exchange the baton underneath the hand rather than turn around and grab the top of it. It’s complete bizarre #Olympic2024
