I think the field of medicine might improve if we 100% stopped considering research when selecting candidates for med school and residency. Those who love research would keep doing it (good). Those who don't love it would stop doing junk research (also good). Research might go back to its intended purpose of scientific inquiry.

It's really sad that so many young people who want to go into medicine get tricked into working for pipetting laboratories. Then we make them lie and say they enjoyed the pointless hazing that has nothing to do with clinical medicine.

My mum has just worked as nurse throughout the pandemic, a year after qualifying. Got COVID at work. She recovered (we thank God) and went back to work. She's now decided to apply for a new role in a different setting and this is what was sent to her by the recruiter. @CWPT_NHS
