having a lot of fun with the new Orchid synth. a fellow owner and I created an app that uses MIDI to show you the chords and notes the synth is outputting, letting you see what you hear. I designed and coded the frontend in @windsurf_ai using @AnthropicAI and @OpenAI.

@Shpigford darn, bummed. this was the perfect Obsidian replacement that had AI chat via my local claude instance 💔

just rolled out v3.0 of clearly.md where i deleted some 85,000 lines of code and removed basically every feature. it's primary goal now is simply to be the best* markdown editor and viewer. * i get to define what "best" means. 🤓

i love SF symbols, but gosh i can NEVER find icons i want. there are 6k+ options, categories make no sense, and search is useless so i fixed it:

what's one single feature that would make clearly.md a major part of your daily workflow? i'll build and ship it today.

@Shpigford - Can content width work with Live Preview? 🙏 Would love to have it set to Off. - ⌘3 to use Live Preview would be amazing so I can still switch back to editor w/o going thru Settings Am i getting annoying yet or what? 😛

Separately, what are you thoughts on drag‑to‑embed an image like obsidian has? that's a big one for me (I commonly embed screenshots). Right now I think i have to manually type the file path (😬). Are you ever going to charge for this? i'd happily pay a one-time/yearly fee, or feature fee for sync/ai features etc. also probably good to address the icon before Roger Waters comes knocking on your door lol

@Shpigford oh there is no native highlight in markdown, obsidian had me mixed up. not a dealbreaker.

@Shpigford oh duh, i didn't realize it was exclusive. working pretty well otherwise! Thoughts on adding highlight formatting? (would be handy with 1 default color like apple notes)

@Shpigford btw- ive been stuck in Live Preview mode on 2.9.0 (and the prior version). no matter what i do i can't get back to Editor or Preview mode
