BREAKING: Israeli settlers are now attacking the village of Al-Fandaqumiya in the West Bank, opening fire on homes and firing flares. Residents report that dozens more settlers are heading toward the village.

This week, Israel’s Defense Minister said Israel would occupy the area south of the Litani River in Lebanon, where hundreds of thousands of people live, and that Shia residents that were forced to leave under Israeli displacement orders will not be allowed to return “until security for Israel’s northern residents is ensured.” That area is around 8% of Lebanon’s territory and is larger than Bahrain, New York City or Singapore. It is twice the size of Gaza.

Amnesty International has designated Russian poets Artyom Kamardin, Yegor Shtovba and Nikolai Dayneko as prisoners of conscience. Following their 2022 arrests for reading anti-war poetry in public, Kamardin and Shtovba were sentenced to seven and five-and-a-half years’ imprisonment, and Dayneko four years in a penal colony. Imprisonment for their acts, which were no threat to Russia’s national security, is a clear retaliation to their freedom of expression. The poets must be released immediately and unconditionally, and allegation of torture and ill-treatment must be promptly investigated.

Geweldig. Ik hou van openheid en transparantie! Goed gedaan Geert. Trump mag beste weten wat voor infantiele gek hij op bezoek krijgt. Ik heb Trump ook maar vast een foto van Jetten gestuurd. Ik vermoed dat Donald een nanny met een kinderwagen naar het vliegveld stuurt om Jetten op te halen.
