@adotdack I'm happy with 5s. He has a decision over Regent's who is shorter and I dont think this is the right track for Wendigo or Salver.

Soooooo … about to embark on the return leg from London
He couldn’t could he?

☕️ #FLATWHITESARNIE 🍞 Greetings! THEN: I asked YOU to guess how much a flat white coffee and BLT combo cost at a certain train station in England 🚂 NOW: The result is in, via this video 👇 (**Thank you for being good sports 🫡)
English

@RichyShea @helynsar The results made the racing seem competitive but it was more random and unsatisfactory than anything for me .. the ground, the sharp corners.. wasnt a premier meeting setup unfortunately.
English

Ruby & @helynsar mentioned this on their review pod as well. That’s a scandalously bad track setup
Alan Johns@alanjohnsy
No wonder the bend before 2 out on the Chase course was riding tight, virtually a 90 degree turn. Surely the rails should cut the corner more to allow a much smoother turn?
English

@RichyShea Elliot said after Browns, imagine he ran again too quickly and doubt we would see him again this season.. but could of been him throwing toys after being forced to run at fez. He also lined up jacobs here for a while too.
English

@alanjohnsy Looked awful all week, someone has seriously fcked up there

"I've had an each-way accumulator on a number of mine, it's going pretty well" 👀 Dan Skelton has had it right off twice at this Cheltenham Festival - and now he's waiting on a whopping each-way accumulator 😮 Read more with RacingPost+ 👇

@RacingPost Not a chance he left out some of the other fancied hcp runners but had these all in.
English

@theclaimer1984 @Unshookone Im sure you dont care but different race!
English

@Unshookone So we’re onto race 6 and my best pal is Reminiscing about backing a 50/1 shot trained by Venetia called carrickboy in this very race. 10+ years ago.
We look at card and she’s got one in race at 150 on machine. Rest is history
English

@freddy6T6 She looked awkward when she was made to go fwd in the morgiana, dont like cheekpieces for her tbh
English

@RichyShea @freddy6T6 Why did they change it? Makes a huge difference
English

@freddy6T6 True.
Haven’t seen many say it, some have, the race is half a furlong and one fence longer this year. Same start as Ultima.
That matters imo and strengthens the appeal of the mare & Oscars for me.
English

Another thing I noticed about the last 8 winners of the Plate is that their best Chase RPR in the last 365 days was at least 5lbs higher than their OR on the day of race (7/8 were a 6lbs+ difference ).
Jagwar 145/139
Shakem Up’arry 149/143
Seddon 150/143
Coole Cody 151/145
The Shunter 145/140
Simply The Betts 160/149
Siruh Du Lac 149/141
The Storyteller 153/147
8 of the last 9 winners also had a weight adjusted RPR of 163+ on the day.
English

@MichaelTK1973 Yep especially with how the ground was.. willie was setting everything up for the galopin treble though. Cant blame him but this is why its detrimental to the sport having big owners so concentrated with one trainer.
English

@adotdack Destined never to run at the Festival. Easy to say now but he might have done some damage in last year’s Gold Cup.
English

Does Grangeclare West deserve a shot at the Gold Cup? I imagine it’s all about April and too soon after Fairyhouse but if you looked at his comparative form with Haiti Couleurs through Resplendent Grey he has the beating of the Curtis horse. Gave Murphy’s horse 26lbs at Sandown having come straight from the National and was still running on at the end.
