and now imagine explaining this to a non native english speaker. its probably not gonna be understood nor do a lot of english speakers really know WHY the word for illness became a way to compliment someone/something, but it just is. its slang. and its the same with 섹시하다

like i just cant believe you guys really think its okay. why is it so hard to grasp that textbook meanings ≠ slang meanings. they can be very very different. EXAMPLE "sick". textbook definition is to feel ill or unwell, slang definition is to be amazing and/or cool.
