His first three seasons in the biggest competition in Europe, with a club that has never won it. This is a legendary coach. It’s just a matter of time until he wins it.

Nigeria provided significant financial, material and diplomatic aid to South African freedom fighters during the apartheid. So much so that Nigerian civil servants were donating 2% of their salaries to the South African liberation struggle. I hope these people know their history?

🇿🇦 JUST IN: “No Nigerian, Somali or Zimbabwean Died for South Africa” — Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma Fires Back at Cyril Ramaphosa Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, leader of the Xenophobic Mobs, has responded to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s recent Freedom Day remarks during a speech at the Union Buildings. In her address, Ngobese-Zuma stated that no Nigerian, Somali, or Zimbabwean died for South Africa’s liberation, insisting that South African citizens must be prioritised over undocumented foreigners. She expressed frustration with the government’s handling of immigration, saying: “We’re frustrated, tired, and feel ignored by our own government.” Ngobese-Zuma accused the government of moving at a “snail’s pace” in addressing undocumented immigration, claiming South Africans have been sidelined while foreign nationals are accommodated to help the government “look good to the rest of the world.” Rejecting accusations of xenophobia, she said: “There’s nothing xenophobic about wanting law and order in your own country. This thing of calling us xenophobic will not work anymore. We don’t care how they label us.” She maintained that the issue is not about race but documentation: “It’s not about skin colour. It’s about having papers.”

🇿🇦 JUST IN: Cyril Ramaphosa to xenophobic South Africans: “You cannot take the law into your own hands. Don’t blame foreigners — follow the law.” Cyril Ramaphosa issued a direct warning on xenophobia and illegal migration during his 2026 Freedom Day address in Bloemfontein. “We should never allow the legitimate concerns of our communities about illegal migration to breed prejudice towards our fellow Africans.” He stressed that frustrations must not be turned into violence or hatred, adding: “We must not allow these concerns to give rise to xenophobia.” At the same time, Ramaphosa confirmed a tougher stance from government, saying authorities are “clamping down on illegal migration” and on businesses that employ undocumented workers. He made it clear that enforcement must remain within the law: “We will not allow people to take the law into their own hands.” Invoking history, he reminded South Africans of the continent’s role during apartheid, warning: “It must never be that we trample… the African fellowship that made our freedom possible.”

Hurts a little bit that you said “seen us play under Arteta” You guys make it seem like Arteta never played or is incapable of high-scoring, expansive football. The same Arteta that will show up at opponents stadium and paste them 6-0, 5-0. This pragmatic, tactical football he plays now is because of the pressure of trying to land a trophy, a validation everyone wants. Recency bias is a thing sha, but make we try judge the guy based on his total experience.
Ugo@Sir_Fin

The first 15-20 minutes of that game was probably the most interesting line up I have seen us play under Arteta. PSG were confused. A decent forward and we’d have scored.
