this is why if you're interested in donating, I'd recommend direct donation drives like university fund raising or ngo(s), for they make sure the help actually reaches the people who need it as soon as possible.

clean water is one of the biggest needs, hence my colleagues will be driving up north to personally deliver help and reach those who need it most. apparently, we are in need of more financial donations so we can buy more goods to send across different northern cebu areas.

meanwhile, reports say that despite the quake happening almost a week ago, stacks of government relief goods, ready to be sent off, remain sitting in storage, undistributed, even tho there are volunteers on standby, willing to assist in disseminating them.

some victims were denied relief because they couldn't show proof their homes were actually ruined, others were told “no coupon, no goods” which is just straight up inhumane.

hello, friends! they're still accepting donations. most relief goods so far were focused on just one city, when in reality many other areas were also badly hit. what makes it even harder is how messy the distribution has been up there.
