Who remembers Ken Bigley? ‼️ A British civil engineer from Liverpool who was kidnapped and murdered in Iraq during the post-2003 invasion period. ‼️ On 16 September 2004, Bigley and two American colleagues: Eugene “Jack” Armstrong and Jack Hensley were abducted from their shared house in the al-Mansour district of Baghdad by the Islamist militant group Tawhid and Jihad (also known as Monotheism and Jihad), led by the Jordanian terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. ‼️ The two Americans were beheaded first: Armstrong on or around 20 September, followed by Hensley on 21 September. Videos of their killings were released online. ‼️ Bigley was held longer.
