I had the privilege of leading a roundtable discussion at the Mountain Plaza Hotel in Davos alongside the brilliant @F_Macaulay, @rhettpower, and @amiibb. We dove into one of the most pressing topics shaping the future: Leadership and AI. The conversation was electric, and a few themes really stood out in our discussion: ✔ The enormous impact of AI Five years from now, the way we work will look dramatically different. While there’s plenty of talk about AI, it hasn’t fully shown up in the day-to-day yet—and the C-suite needs to take a more proactive role in leading this shift. ✔ “Change fatigue” is real Many leaders feel overwhelmed by the constant state of transformation. It’s tough to make sense of what AI means for the workplace and how to prepare teams for it. ✔ Change starts at the top Leaders need to model curiosity and openness when it comes to AI. As one participant shared, the first steps don’t need to be perfect—but it’s crucial to “get on the field” and explore AI personally to set the tone for their teams. We also discussed innovative ideas like confidential AI coaches to support leaders through this time of uncertainty—helping them process the emotional side of change and empowering them to show up better for their teams. Davos is all about these transformative conversations, and I’m so incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to spark this one with such inspiring peers! What’s your biggest question or concern about the future of leadership and AI?

@skgreen @opinion @Philip_Tidd @Gensler_Europe @kimdabbs @Steelcase Amii Barnard-Bahn shared her perspective on activism 'Rapid layoffs are brutal - we see it in our communities as a common signal. Often managers aren't informing their team members what is going to happen.’ People do their job transactionally if promotion is highly unlikely.'
