@amnxnet No. Modern Apple hardware manages the charging cycles so as to not prematurely decrease the battery health.

No, I don’t think so. I think running the battery down and constantly charging it making the cycle count go up seems to be much more detrimental than just leaving it plugged in and not using the battery.
I leave my MacBook plugged in all the time so I don’t use the battery at all when home and that way the cycle count won’t go up.

@amnxnet Nope, as long as you don’t keep it on for weeks or months. It cuts off power consumption from battery and takes power from your supply. So basically it works as a PC would.

@amnxnet MacOS is smart enough to not use battery while fully charged.
And if its connected for long time - it’ll discharge the battery for 2-5% and then charge it again.
