A woman in Steprite Shoes added: “The police were just everywhere. It was straight away. They were walking up the side of the park with guns pointing at him.” @MENnewsdesk

I’m outside Mandley Park in Salford following reports of an incident. The owner of Steprite Shoes, who is opposite the park, said: “There were loads of police, police with guns, helicopters. All over the park.”

She continued: “I have cousins there. One was beaten with a leather belt and his dad was made to watch. [It is] promoting terrorism.”

Yasmin Bayatpoor, 32, from Wilmslow said: “When I was 14 my headscarf had fallen off and they took me. When they realised I was British they let me go. So when girls and women aren’t wearing headscarves they are risk their lives.” @MENnewsdesk
