Pilgrimage day four. Visits today to Eccles C of E Primary School, Aylesford Priory, and Boxley Church. We’ll end the day with Evening Prayer at St Martin of Tours in Detling.

A prayer as we continue our pilgrimage.

The cross reveals something we often resist: Love is costly.❤️ Not because suffering is holy— but because love refuses to turn away from what is broken. To follow Christ is to choose love again and again, even when it asks something of us. #Lent

Set free, O Lord, the souls of your servants from all restlessness & anxiety. Give us that peace & power which flow from you. Keep us from all perplexity & distress, that upheld by your strength & secured on the rock of your faithfulness, we may abide in you now & evermore.

Day two of the pilgrimage. Reflection at Lesnes Abbey, Morning Prayer at St John the Baptist in Erith, and a lovely visit with pupils at Holy Trinity C of E Primary School. Pilgrimage teaches us to keep walking - step by step - sustained by prayer and community.

In moments when we simply surrender all to God in contemplation, God becomes the actor who acts through us. God becomes the writer of our lives, and we become the pencil with which God writes a love letter to the world. Adam Bucko

This afternoon I set out on pilgrimage from @StPaulsLondon with fellow pilgrims and a wonderful send-off. We walked via Southwark Cathedral and will end the day with Evening Prayer at St Alphege in Greenwich. Please keep us in your prayers as we begin the journey to Canterbury.

Guard me and guide me, O God this day. Lead me in the way of truth and life. Bless my words and my actions. Send the Holy Spirit upon all that I do, in Jesus name. Amen
