Learn by doing. Studying creative writing is very useful – but don’t allow yourself to be a slave to someone else’s technique.

There is no right or wrong way to write. You may not of yet to discover the method that works for you.

Forget about procrastination. The time is now. Write early in the morning, before you have time to distract yourself with self-doubt.

Perhaps you will not write a novel or become a published author with some of the prompts that I put on here. But you can still have loads of fun writing a story, or a few short stories based on these prompts. Have you tried any yet?

Write about a mysterious girl comes up to you one day. “I think you might need this,” she says, handing you a thick book. “Remember the names.”

Write about a group of high school girls who find a spell book in their library and decide to use it to their advantage.
