@amkhxzam @asukagrypr What are you on about? Trump ran on a nationalist agenda. Over half the country voted for him multiple times. Everybody hates him now because he didn’t follow through at all.

@shagbark_hick @cynthia_lee88 The problem is certainly there to some extent, but most parishes I’ve been to still have a good number of ruffians and oftentimes plenty of drink too.

It's true: the men I meet at most Catholic Churches do seem to be fairly timid, measured, even nervously pious. Trad or not, it's very often the case. Nothing wrong with that at all -- but we're sorely lacking in Catholic rowdies and ruffians. We need some medieval-type mannerbund energy going on at our Churches. Bring back the post-Mass cask of ale; unbutton the top button for once and speak candidly, say your piece, linger long at the tavern, make the boys all raise their glasses when you walk in. I don't mind temperately sipping coffee and nerding out about theology in the Parish basement for thirty minutes after Mass, but at some point, we've all gotta break out of that and really let loose in the way that men ought to.

@BostonConvert I was not Christian. The life and habits I made for myself were a personal hell. Christ reached out to me and called me home. Then he transformed and still transforms my heart and my life. He loves us all, even in our sin. His Love is boundless, and He loves you too. Rejoice!!!

How do you guys go about finding joy in Christ? I often only feel a deep sadness, and terror. I confess, I commune, I pray, I attend services. I want the childlike joy and faith my wife has. Or my godson. Or my soon to be second godson has.

Ok, I'm going to explain this simply. Tylenol reduces glutathione. Glutathione is an antioxidant that highly mitigates inflammatory damage. If a mother has an illness during pregnancy, something called maternal immune activation (MIA) can occur in response. This is known to cause deleterious effects to fetal development. This is all well documented and not controversial. If she takes Tylenol during this inflammation to reduce symptoms, it can also cause a reduction in the ability to mitigate the inflammation, which can exacerbate any potential fetal damage. There is a risk to benefit ratio in every medication. In this instance, the risk is fetal damage, and the benefit is reduction in symptoms. The risk outweighs the benefit. Vaccines cause inflammation. That is, in fact, the goal. Create inflammation to generate an immune response. So pregnant women are given vaccines, which causes inflammation, and cause MIA, which potentially harms fetal development, and then are given Tylenol, which simply exacerbates the situation. I really wish people would just look at these things from an empirical perspective and stop politicizing everything. Feel free to look up anything I just said. It's all textbook medical knowledge. For decades, doctors implored pregnant women to take extra care of themselves, avoid all drugs, toxic foods, get adequate rest, reduce workload, etc, because a developing fetal is exceptionally vulnerable. Please stop spreading incorrect information that harms patients.

Taking acetaminophen, also known by the brand name Tylenol, during pregnancy had no effect on children developing autism, according to a study of over 1.5 million children in Denmark published this week. abcnews.link/W8uhOQ1

☦️ Look closely at any traditional Eastern Orthodox icon of the Resurrection (the Anastasis). Notice something specific about the hands? Christ isn't holding hands with Adam and Eve. He’s gripping them fiercely by the wrists, and their hands are hanging completely limp. This is known as the "life-giving grip," one of the most profoundly symbolic details in Eastern Orthodox iconography. In Orthodox tradition, the dead have zero agency or power. Adam and Eve cannot pull themselves up by their own bootstraps; they can't even muster the strength to reach back to God. By grabbing them by the wrist (right at the pulse point), Christ is physically infusing life back into them and dragging humanity out of the grave by His own sheer power. You can also see this in frescoes depicting Christ saving Peter from drowning or raising Jairus's daughter.

Had a fun day today. 2 weeks ago an Indian (US Citizen) IT employee called ICE on his own department because he heard that many of them were here on fake H1-B Visas. 25 employees were arrested out of 100ish. He was correct. After talking to his leadership he also informed them that many here legally, but we're hired under false pretenses, because they had bought diplomas in India and never really got a degree. At this point management was worried they had been defrauded so they called me up to help them figure it out. We ran all of the remaining employees hiring paperwork through some AI analytics today. Massive amounts of documents. This included reading copies of diplomas, and and a ton of other personal documents. Training the AI analytics tool to look for irregularities in past work experience and education history. As an example: 1.) Check to see if the school exists 2.) Check to see if the person who signed the diploma actually worked at the university 3.) check to see if the degree listed is actually taught at that university 4.) ETC ETC ETC. We found that of the remaining 75 H1-b employees 50 of them had provided fake diplomas to either our company directly, or the contracting company they were hired through. So out of this one department of 250 people, 100 ish were from India here on visas, and 75 of them had defrauded the company during the hiring process. Either providing fake visa paperwork or falsification of education. Basically 75% lied. Not sure what they are going to do about it yet, as across the IT organization they have 1500 ish H1-B visa employees and they cannot fire 75% of them right now even if they wanted to, but I do know they are running all current visa employees records through the tool, any new applicants as well, and will be firing anyone who lied as soon as they get replacement in line for them. From the leadership I was working with: "We have to remove them, we cannot keep employees who defraud the company even if they are good and cheap"

I was in the courtroom for Johnny Somali’s verdict. The second he walked in, his eyes were completely dead and lifeless. Zero trolling, zero antics toward the press and creators. He wouldn’t even look at us. He knew he was screwed. And he was so desperate that he lied about still being an ASU student (he already graduated) and tried to say that he missed his family lol. Sad. Hope harassing Koreans and being a public nuisance was worth the hard labor and prison time. But I hope that the prosecutor appeals because 6 months is not enough. WE WANT THE MAXIMUM SENTENCE! Good luck Johnny!

Right about what? Political theater stuff that just reflects typical mid term voter behavior? Blaming Trump for what should be blamed on Congress? Fuentes would have us in a world where everything he supposedly cares about would be worse off. I'll take the first net negative migration and illegal migration since the Great Depression over Kamala allowing another 5 million illegals in in 2 years, ever increasing H1Bs, NGO funding scams continuing under the table, and no effort at all to stop public benefit fraud. I'll take 10 more Iran's for all the progress domestically. Burn it all down is a historically illiterate strategy of cowards and just cements the power of the people the cowards supposedly oppose.

Say what you will about Fuentes, but he's got his finger directly on a region of the Zeitgeist that has no other outlet. Half of being a celeb pundit consists of giving a voice to a thing that many are already thinking but nobody seems to get away with saying. It's not hard to imagine his movement gaining a startling degree of real influence very quickly, especially as Trump decides to destroy MAGA, make the GOP lose all credibility, and generally make his second term one unmitigated string of ghastly embarrassments. Nick channels the ancient and unkillable spirit of the 70's "Blue Dog" Democrat. There are millions of Americans who basically want to be Dems but are sick of the rainbow flag, the abortion, the white guilt, the anti-Christian energy, the photo-ops with the yarmulkes at the Wall, and so on -- and Fuentes is currently their only "guy." Like it or not, I think his whole movement is probably about to kick into hyper-drive. He's no longer a niche character simply because all of the "normal politicos" are so unwilling to go where Fuentes goes (and where millions of Americans want to go).

Good luck to Trump and the GOP without Catholics, Muslims, anti-war voters, fiscal hawks, immigration hawks, prospective home-buyers, anybody who wanted the Epstein Files, anybody who watches Tucker, Alex Jones, Megyn Kelly, & Candace. But hey at least they’re popular in Israel.

@RtrnSanity “Who I am” is a human being created in the Image of God. I am not merely an accident of historical facticity. That is where I begin my life, of course, but I aim to end it closer in likeness to Christ. Hard to do that without the fullness of the faith, ie. in the Orthodox Church

US fertility reached 1.57 last year, the lowest ever recorded, and the WSJ explanation is "uncertainty about finances, relationship stability, and the political climate" my great grandma had eleven children during the second world war, in a country being bombed, in a house with no running water, on rations. poor people have always had kids. the poorest people on earth right now still have kids and the financial excuse is a story we tell ourselves because it makes us feel good and the real one is unbearable the real mechanism is that we got rich enough to redefine children as an expense instead of the point. somewhere in the last fifty years the cultural goal inverted and a child stopped being what life is for and became a line item competing with the lifestyle. once you frame it that way the math never works, because the math isnt supposed to work. that's the point we are living in the richest moment in human history and we decided to use the surplus to buy ourselves out of the future. the most prosperous civilization that has ever existed is committing demographic suicide at the altar of personal optimization and comfort, and the official line is that we cant afford it the birthrate is a lagging indicator of a civilization that forgot why it was alive

Israel rolls from Operation Roaring Lion (“Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8) straight into Operation Eternal Darkness, and Christians are somehow still confused about what they’re looking at.
