Thanks to the Friends of Northhaven Trail for putting on a great fundraiser event Saturday evening. Thanks to the board, volunteers, community members and the Eleven-Eleven band! It was a great event and look forward to attending next year's event!

Rare Texas bird sighting, a Brown Booby in diving sequence catching a Guadalupe Bass along the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country. The pelagic bird is usually found in tropical seas and is far out of range, native to the Caribbean, Yucatan and South American coasts.

Wonderful morning to hike the Texas Buckeye Trail with North Texas Master Naturalist 2024 intern class studying forest ecology in Dallas Great Trinity Forest. Texas buckeyes are in full bloom at William Blair Park along the Trinity River.

You can either park at the parking lot west side of Inwood (& the Northaven Trail) and walk westbound on the trail to just over the creek. Or park near Strait Lane and the NT & walk east.
