@exQUIZitely To be fair, once the old games had successfully loaded in, they pretty much ran at the consistent speed the coders intended them to.

Imagine trying to explain to anyone from Gen Z or younger what "waiting" meant in the early days of gaming... We didn't have lag. We just "pressed play on tape", made a sandwich, ate it, came back... and still waited another couple of minutes to then play (fingers crossed it didn't crash during the loading sequence). Waiting seems like a long lost skill.

@TheStingisBack When I was younger, I needed my handheld by the VO version. But now I’m older, the directors cut hits deeper for sure and is my preference. Though like others have said, I can watch the VO version and enjoy the nostalgia of those early times.

What’s your take on the Blade Runner voice-over? Is it unnecessary studio hand-holding, or a deliberate nod to hardboiled film noir? Do you agree with Harrison Ford and Ridley Scott that it hurts the film, or do you have a soft spot for the original Theatrical Cut?

3d riggers and mecha modelers are officially COOKED. seedance 2.0 just generated complex metallic joints and dynamic lighting flawlessly. hollywood vfx houses cannot justify their budgets when indie creators do this for FREE.
