@Rick_Sports10 Rick, this seems like a story worth pursuing a little further. I'd be curious to know what these alleged violations were and whether they justified a two-year ban with no notice, hearing or chance to present his side of the story. Or whether someone at the IHSAA is vindictive.

Follow up to the story Sports 10 shared with you yesterday on IHSAA revoking coaching credentials for South Knox boys basketball coach David Burkett. IHSAA confirmed to me today that coach Burkett's accreditation has been pulled for multiple violations within the program.

I know Coach Cal is one of the least liked coaches in all of basketball but the dude genuinely cares for ALL of his players. A good friend from Linton (yes I do have a couple of those from there) mentioned that Cal paid for a driver to haul Joey Hart back to the area to attend old Joe Hart’s services. That’s just the kind of guy he really is that many people don’t see or don’t care to see!

Incredibly disappointed in the @NCAA for denying my waiver today. Another case of the NCAA trying to save face and not caring about student-athletes. For 3 reasons: 1: I have Learning Disabilities and accommodations/evaluations were not made available to me at Colorado. My academic counselor left mid-year as did my head coach. I struggled alone. 2: My decision to transfer was made a day before the NCAA eliminated the “no participation opportunity” for immediate eligibility. I could not come back from this. 3: Coach prime made it very clear that holdovers from the previous team were not welcome and it was best to leave. Especially as I am a quarterback, the same position as his son who I train with in the offseason. No disrespect to CU or to coach. Just go watch the intro team meeting that got 30 million views. I’m in the front row.
