@ashik_jspro free with tip jar is a generosity bet on the user. we track how often that pays off in the apps we cover :)

One thing i refused to do with Kept: add a subscription paywall the app is free. if you want to support development, there's an optional tip jar inside. that's it. no "premium tier" that locks basic features behind $9.99/month

@ashik_jspro Congrats on the App Store approval! Before Tuesday's PH launch, worth having a web landing page too. entro.work turns your App Store page into one that converts 40% more visitors into downloads. Could make your launch hit harder!

@ashik_jspro Tracking finances privately without bank links is a great privacy-focused feature. The interface looks clean and straightforward for managing transactions. You should consider listing Kept on viberankdev to get more feedback and visibility from the developer community.

Kept supports 27+ currencies out of the box built it because not everyone lives in the US and uses dollars if you're tracking spending in BDT, EUR, GBP, JPY, or anything else — it just works

the "why" behind Kept: i wanted to track my money without: - creating an account - linking my bank - paying a subscription - wondering who's selling my data couldn't find it. so i built it. we're live on Product Hunt today → producthunt.com/products/kept

Building a finance app as a solo dev taught me one thing: People don't need more features. they need fewer reasons to not trust the app. No account creation. no email required. no bank linking. Face ID lock. That's what Kept does differently.

Fun fact about Kept: Zero third-party dependencies. no Firebase. no Amplitude. no Mixpanel. no analytics SDK watching you. Just SwiftUI + SwiftData + Apple frameworks Your finance data touches exactly one server: none

Every finance app wants to connect to your bank account I never understood why i need to give a third party my banking credentials just to track my spending So i built one that works 100% offline, on-device → apps.apple.com/us/app/kept-pe…

The tech stack behind Kept: - SwiftUI (all UI) - SwiftData (persistence) - CloudKit (optional sync) - LocalAuthentication (Face ID / Touch ID) - CryptoKit (PIN hashing) - StoreKit 2 (tip jar) zero external packages. the way Apple intended.

Kept supports 27+ currencies because i'm from Bangladesh and i was tired of finance apps that assume everyone uses USD if your currency is BDT, INR, EUR, GBP, JPY, KRW, or basically anything else — it just works no conversion. your local currency. natively.

Built Kept to work offline by default your transactions don't need an internet connection. your budget doesn't need a server. your financial data doesn't need the cloud. iCloud sync is there if you want it. completely optional.

Unpopular opinion: most finance apps are overengineered you don't need AI to tell you that you spent too much on coffee you need a clean list of what came in, what went out, and how much is left that's Kept.

One of my favorite features in Kept: budget alerts set a budget for any category. when you hit 80%, you get a notification. when you hit 100%, another one. no more "wait how did i spend $400 on food this month"
