I recently made a modest donation to support the victims of the devastating flood in the Volta Region, caused by the Akosombo Dam spillage. It's truly distressing to witness homes submerged, farmers losing their livelihoods, and valuable property swept away (1/3)

Boycotts and threats do not solve problems: engagement and understanding do explained that once a group of people is in agreement on what constitutes Human rights, values and principles, they move on. What is required is alignment and understanding of their context.

This week I have been engaged in series of meetings with the UK Parliament to discuss issues of cooperation between Ghana’s Parliament and the UK Parliament. Of concern to the British Members of Parliament is the law passed in Uganda recently on the LGBTQI phenomenon, (1/3)

It is in this spirit that I may even go beyond to recommend that we have a Minority Government where the majority MPs are in opposition, but a sterling leader is elected to be President of Ghana.(4/4)

It is the institution of Parliament that can really hold the Executive Arm of Government to account to the good people of Ghana. If a Parliament cannot stand the demands of an overbearing Executive, the Executive simply does what it wants.(3/4)
